Standard 1 Year Warranty

All products not covered by our fiveyear warranty come with our standard oneyear warranty at no additional cost. These products are classified as consumable items due to their limited lifespan based on their function. This warranty will be clearly marked on their respective product pages.

Industry-Leading 5 Year Warranty

We provide a complimentary fiveyear warranty on many of our products including newer generation servers, workstations and storage arrays. Products that include this fiveyear warranty are clearly marked on their respective product pages.

Extended Warranty Options

For customers looking for additional coverage on items that come with a oneyear warranty, we offer a three and fiveyear extended warranty on selected items. These extended warranties can be
purchased at an additional cost through our configuretoorder option on our web shop or by speaking to a representative.

On-Site Warranty

We often repair any products within our own facility, however, we also have onsite warranty services.

Dell Recertified Products

We offer a Dell onsite nextbusiness day warranty for all our Dell recertified products. This service ensures that any issues you encounter will be promptly addressed by a Dell technician at your location the next business day.

Other Products

For non-Dell recertified products and other items from different manufacturers, we collaborate with various on-site warranty partners to provide similar support services. Prices and terms for these warranties vary depending on the specific build and configuration of the product.

Our warranty covers any faults and defects that arise from normal use in line with manufacturer guidelines, such as mechanical failure occurring during standard use.

Bytestock warranties do not cover:

  • Improper maintenance or modification

  • Software, media parts or supplies not supplied by Bytestock

  • Operation outside the product’s specifications

  • Unauthorised modification or misuse

Item Grading & Condition

All of our stock undergoes a multipoint inspection and testing process to ensure all functions and components are working optimally. We refurbish or replace any system or component that fails to meet our strict performance standards to maintain high quality. Despite rigorous checks, unforeseen errors can occasionally occur, which is why a range of warranties is offered.

The condition grades of Bytestock products include:

  • NEW Brand new and unopened item.

  • NEW OTHER An unused item that may have experienced minimal testing hours.

  • DELL BOXED An open Dell product which has been refurbished by the manufacturer. Its box may have been opened to verify contents and will ship in original packaging.

  • BYTESTOCK REFURBISHED A preowned item which has been tested, refurbished and repackaged by us.

  • MANUFACTURER REFURBISHED A preowned item which has been tested, refurbished and repackaged by its manufacturer.


Many products come with our fiveyear warranty. However, some of these products, like servers and workstations, have consumable components in them that are not covered by our fiveyear warranty. Whether purchased as separate upgrades or supplied as configured components within the server system or workstation, these would typically come with our standard oneyear warranty.

Products we determine as consumable are, HDDs, SSDs, Batteries and GPUs.

How to Submit a Warranty Claim

To make a warranty claim submit a ticket through our help desk portal. We aim to be in touch the same day or the next day if your ticket is logged after working hours.

If this is your first time using our help desk portal, you will need to create an account.

When submitting a ticket, please include the product serial number, along with any other relevant details such as the name and description of the suspected fault.
